Also, the portal is planned to be informative one, so that it provides our online visitors with all the information about the Solar industry e.g events, seminars, workshops, trainings, newsletter,.....etc. The Institutional Building Capacity of SEDA The Steering Committee of SEDA is committed to building a sustainable and powerful institutional system capable of achieving its objectives. In this way, we have written a paper of Terms of Reference for our requirements for Institutional Building capacity, where we have communicated it with a number of Management Consultants requesting their proposal on that side. The Hospitality Sector Mechanism We have established a Solar Water Heaters financial mechanism (Scheme) to support commercial sector (Tourism). SEDA contracted with Samy Manski and Rafek Mosoi as an international consultant to make the marketing study for SWH, transfer the Tunisian experience, and adopting it into Egypt. SEDA contacted with the following stakeholders to start promoting, executing, and capacity building for a program to install 100,000 M2 in hotels. A. Ministry of Tourism B. Chamber of Hotels C. Egyptian national Bank D. E. F. A number of International donors e.g KFW and UNIDO This initiative will be aligned with the Green Tourism concept which announced by the Minister of Tourism. We are waiting for a political stability and establishing of the new government to connect again with the above mentioned authorities to commence the execution of the program. The SWH Market Study done by EGYTALIA SEDA contracted with EGYTALIA to make market survey for the local manufacture of SWH and the market size. This study will be ready for sale and available for all members. Product Development Network The product development team has been working on improving the solar water heaters energy storage mechanism. The team is working on two fronts; the first one is to examine a tank- less design, while the second is to improve the design of the energy storage water tank. For these objectives, a setup is constructed at the American University in Cairo to examine the proposed different designs. Currently, the team is examining the ability to have a tank-less design, without sacrificing the performance of the solar water heating system.
